Source: https://billingmart.com/agent # Your billing, done by asking BillingMart Agent is a chat inside the console. Ask for an invoice, a reminder or a client’s balance, check what it prepared, and approve it in the conversation. In Ask mode, nothing happens until you say yes. In Audit mode it asks you before everything, lookups included. Step 1 ### Ask Type what you need in plain words, or drop in a photo or PDF of a receipt, a bill or a quote. Step 2 ### Review The Agent looks things up and prepares the work, then shows you the invoice or the change before anything happens. Step 3 ### Approve One click in the conversation. A large amount also needs you to type it, and approving money in the conversation takes a recent sign-in and a second factor. Sample The Agent prepares the draft; you review it before anything goes out. Money-moving actions wait for a person unless your own capped rule matches. Refunds, voids and write-offs always need a person. A short recording of Agent Mode in a sandbox workspace: ask, review, approve. ## What it does The same tools the API gives any connected assistant, from a chat that is already in your console. ### Invoices, estimates and reminders Draft them from your clients and your hours, and propose sending them. “Bill Harbor Dental for last week’s hours.” ### Receipts and bills from a photo Drop in a photo or PDF; it suggests what it is and where it belongs, and you make the call. “File this receipt against the Northgate job.” ### Who owes you what Ask for balances, what is overdue and what is coming in. “Who is more than 30 days late?” ### Clients and their contacts Set up a client, add a contact, find a record in a sentence. “Add Maple Street Dental as a client.” ### Statements Prepare a client’s statement for the period you name. “Prepare Harbor Dental’s statement for September.” ### Answers about your books Time, expenses, bills and reports, read straight from your workspace. “How much am I owed this month?” ## Safe by design It works inside your role and your business, and what may run without a click is the owner’s rule, never the model’s choice. ### It cannot approve itself Approving is not one of its tools. The card is drawn by the console, and the decision goes through the same approval check as the approvals page. ### Your role is its ceiling A viewer’s Agent reads. A person limited to one business gets an Agent limited to that business. ### Everything is on the record Every action it takes is in your audit log. A conversation is readable by the person who had it and by the workspace’s owners and admins. ### Tenant text stays data A client name or a document that contains instructions is handed to the model marked as data, not as a request. **Control and safetyAudit mode, and what Auto may run without a click** ### Auto runs more for the built-in Agent A person the owner allows can put their own Agent in Auto for eight hours, after signing in again with a second factor, on a plan that includes auto-approve rules and with the owner’s rules switched on. The owner’s capped rules then approve what they cover, which for the Agent can include refunds, voids, credit notes and write-offs. Card or bank entry and every admin action still wait for a person. More on how we protect your workspace is on [the security page](https://billingmart.com/security) . ## Start free. Pay only for what you use. The Agent draws on one balance of AI credits, billed by the token, and the owner can buy more in the console. Which plans include the Agent is on [the pricing page](https://billingmart.com/pricing) , read from the plans as published. When the credits run out, only AI requests wait for more. Invoices, payments and everything else keep working. [See every plan](https://billingmart.com/pricing) . ## Questions The short answers. **Is it safe to let it send an invoice?** In Ask mode, which is the default, nothing is sent or charged until you approve it: the Agent shows you the invoice or the change, with the server’s own summary, and you decide in the conversation. It cannot approve its own actions, and approving a charge or a refund asks for a recent sign-in and a second factor. The built-in BillingMart Agent has an Auto of its own. A person the owner allows can put their own Agent in Auto for eight hours, after signing in again with a second factor, on a plan that includes auto-approve rules and with the owner’s rules switched on. The owner’s capped rules then approve what they cover, which for the Agent can include refunds, voids, credit notes and write-offs. Card or bank entry and every admin action still wait for a person. **What does it cost?** The Agent draws on one balance of AI credits, billed by the token, and the workspace owner can buy more in the console. Which plans include the Agent, and what each costs, is on the pricing page, read from the plans as they are published. **What happens when the credits run out?** Only AI requests wait for more credits. Invoices, payments and everything else keep working. **Can I try it without paying?** New workspaces start with a free trial that opens every feature, Agent Mode included. When it ends the workspace moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted; API keys, webhooks and Auto stop if the plan it lands on does not include them. The length and what it covers are shown on this page from the terms as they stand today. **Where does it run?** In the BillingMart console in your browser. The iPhone and Android apps are not out yet, so there is nothing to install and no app to connect. **Can I use Claude or ChatGPT instead?** Yes. Any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol can connect to your workspace and work under the same approvals. The assistants page explains how. Prefer the assistant you already use? [Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini instead](https://billingmart.com/agents) . ## Try the Agent on your own invoices Start a free trial. Ask for the first invoice, and approve it when it looks right.
